Shell type and build time
Fibreglass comes as a ready-made factory shell that a crane drops into place, so time on site is short, and the typical fibreglass job at $65,000 comes in under concrete at $75,000. A concrete pool is shaped and sprayed in the excavation, so any size or depth is possible. Certain builders price concrete by water area instead, $1,700–$2,500 a square metre on a base package of roughly 8 by 4 metres.
