We cross-reference 90+ Australian sources including trade marketplaces (hipages, leading tradie platforms, Oneflare), industry associations (Master Plumbers, HIA, Master Builders), government data, and individual tradesperson websites. Prices are reviewed monthly and adjusted for each city.

How accurate is the quote comparison?

Our ranges reflect real market pricing for standard residential work in your city. Your actual cost may vary based on job complexity, access difficulty, materials, and the specific tradesperson. The checker flags quotes that fall significantly outside normal ranges.

What does below average or above average mean?

Below average means the quote is lower than what most tradies charge in your city. Above average means higher than typical. Both may be justified depending on the job — use it as a starting point for asking the right questions.

Should I always go with the cheapest quote?
